#NoNightisSilent, is a powerful film showing how quickly a medical emergency can strike and how crucial it is that help arrives in time. On Christmas day, when a little girl suffers a cardiac arrest, it’s a LIVES responder who gets there just in time, delivering life-saving CPR and using a defibrillator to give her the best chance of survival.
LIVES responders are always there for the people of Lincolnshire, even during the festive period. Last year LIVES attended 260 patients in December; 16 of those were paediatric. This film is inspired by true events that can happen anytime, to anyone.
We’re thrilled to announce that our powerful short film, No Night Is Silent, has been nominated for the Smiley Charity Film Awards! The film highlights the life-saving work of our volunteers and the importance of community response in emergencies.
Now, we need your help to win! Public voting is open, and every vote brings attention to the vital role LIVES plays in making Lincolnshire safer.

On September 1, 2024, Dave Baptie, a dedicated first responder for LIVES, took on the ultimate challenge. He climbed Africa’s highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro. Driven by his passion for helping others, Dave undertook this remarkable, self-financed journey to raise funds for both LIVES and Prostate Cancer UK, combining his efforts to support two causes close to his heart.
#25YearsMatter is our main campaign running throughout 2024 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our Community First Responder initiative! For a quarter of a century, our dedicated responders have been at the forefront of providing critical care during medical emergencies, often arriving on the scene before anyone else.
Over the past 25 years, our Community First Responders have saved countless lives, offering immediate medical assistance and reassurance to those in need. Their unwavering commitment has made a profound impact on the health and safety of our community. As we mark this significant milestone, we aim to honour their dedication and ensure they have the resources needed to continue their vital work.

We recently collaborated with Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue in an exercise that staged an RTC (road traffic collision) involving three cars, casualty actors and immersive prosthetic makeup. This short film demonstrates how training ensures our responders and crews are at the top of their game. As a Lincolnshire charity working to save lives – training like this is invaluable.
“LIVES is absolutely vital – you never know when you’re going to need their service.” – Russ
When our Community First Responders attend medical emergencies, they often don’t learn what happens to the patients afterward. That’s why, when people choose to share their stories with us, it offers a powerful and eye-opening glimpse into the real-life impact of our work. These stories remind us of the difference we make and inspire us to continue serving our communities with dedication and compassion.
Use your skills. Save more lives.
A commitment to saving life, whatever it takes. That’s what unites all of our Community First Responders. Whether they’re providing rapid first response support on their doorstep, or highly specialised medical interventions around the clock and across the county. It’s what they do. This isn’t a job. This is a life choice, that all LIVES’ volunteers share. Take a look at some of the roles they take on.
