Join LIVES CEO, Nikki Cooke and Medical Director, Dr Simon Topham as they challenge themselves to dance 50,000 steps in a day to mark LIVES’ 50th Anniversary!

Join them for the challenge and try to reach 10,000, 25,000 or 50,000 steps by strolling too!

In collaboration with Boston Jive, the LIVES Stroll-a-thon is set to be a fun-filled day of dancing. Boston Jive founder, Claire Seabrook, will also be taking on the challenge.

What is stroll dancing?

Stroll dancing became popular in the 1950s and is a form of line dancing with no partner needed.

How long will it take to stroll 50,000 steps?

In a 45 min stroll class you will typically reach about 5,000 steps – so to reach 50,000 in a day, it’s going to take the full day of non-stop dancing!

Not sure you’re up for this challenge but still want to get involved? No problem, just turn-up, make your donation and stroll for however long or as little as you like and have fun while supporting a good cause.

There will be a live band in the afternoon and tea, coffee and cake available throughout the day too!
