LIVES Responders in our North East District have received new generation defibrillators and training thanks to Help for Health and the Greenergy Biofuels Ltd.
Our grant of £16,705 and £6,500 respectively will ensure that 17 responders will receive new lifesaving devices and training.
With 74 cardiac arrests occurring in the district last year, the funding will undoubtedly help to save many lives every year.
Our volunteers are professionals, and we invest in their skills by providing them with the equipment, training and all the underpinning governance they need to help save lives. We’re proud to work alongside our wonderful colleagues within the emergency services, but we are not part of the NHS.
We need to raise over £1million every year to ensure our responders are there when a 999 call is made, when minutes matter.
