Who are you, what’s your role and how long have you been at LIVES?
My name is Lucy Raywood, and I serve as a Falls Responder at LIVES. I’ve been with the team since December 6th, 2023.
What does your day to day look like?
Each day at LIVES brings new challenges and experiences. From minor incidents to major emergencies, there’s always something to keep me on my toes.
What’s something about your role that might surprise somebody reading this article?
One surprising aspect of my role is that as a Falls Responder, I’m not limited to responding to falls alone. We also handle cardiac arrests if we’re the closest resource, thanks to our training in immediate life support.
Why should people support LIVES?
Supporting LIVES is crucial because it plays a vital role in Lincolnshire’s integrated emergency services. Many people aren’t aware of the significant impact LIVES has on our healthcare system. By providing immediate care at home, LIVES helps keep individuals comfortable and out of the hospital whenever possible. This not only supports the ambulance service but also offers valuable training courses to the community, ensuring that people are well-prepared to handle emergencies at various levels.
