Clinical Governance Stories
LIVES is a CQC-registered organisation. That means we have proven expertise in designing and embedding a robust Clinical Governance framework within our own pre-hospital emergency response services. We know what it takes to meet the required standards and we’re able to share our knowledge. Creating Clinical Governance frameworks for companies, organisations and individuals, giving them the know-how to provide high-quality care. Empowering them to react in any given situation.
No two organisations are the same. No two clinical governance frameworks should be either. LIVES create bespoke frameworks to meet the specific needs of your organisation, with the benefit of experience accrued over 50 years responding to medical emergencies, across Lincolnshire’s rural communities
Clinical Governance is embedded in all aspects of clinical care and first aid. That means it plays a crucial role in many different types of organisations, from healthcare providers and ‘blue light services’, to businesses across many sectors, including food processing, manufacturing and energy.
Whether you’re a HR lead, Health and Safety Manager or business owner, if you’re responsible for the system through which your organisation is accountable for continuous improvement, quality of delivery and safeguarding of care standards, you’ll know it’s often complex to manage. Don’t worry. At LIVES we can help with that.
Through our Clinical Governance service, we’re on hand to design and implement a robust framework for you to work to. Or, if you already have an existing framework in place, we can just monitor it to give you the peace of mind that everything’s done right. Nice to know.
8 Pillars make up the framework:
The principles of Clinical Governance are probably more straight forward than you might imagine. Each of the above pillars supports a specific standard. It’s all about good practice. Put simply, they’re your clinical guiding principles to help you measure and maintain:
Whilst there’s no legal requirement to have a Clinical Governance framework in place, if you operate in a high-risk space, it’s both good practice and a clear sign you take employee safeguarding and corporate responsibility seriously. That’s clearly a good thing, whether you’re an SME or a large multinational.
The Clinical Governance service we offer is aligned with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) framework and they measure and regulate it too. That’s good to know. We provide a bespoke consultancy service, tailored around the specific risks your people might be exposed to, such as falls from height or electrocution for example.
The outcome of our involvement is peace of mind. Peace of mind that you’re taking responsible steps to look after your people. Peace of mind that if there is an accident in the workplace, you can clearly evidence that you’ve met required standards – particularly important in the event of a HSE enquiry.
