As a charity, embedded in and committed to our Lincolnshire community, social value is at the heart of everything that LIVES delivers. LIVES delivers emergency care to patients and shares skills and knowledge with communities to help them be safer places to live, work and visit.
The value that these activities bring to the communities that we serve is immeasurable. This isn’t the only way in which LIVES is mindful of and delivers social value. Our three areas of focus are: People and Skills We create quality jobs for local people and jobs that attract skilled and talented people to work in Lincolnshire We give skills to people that support them to develop careers in the health and education sectors We inspire young people to consider careers in health and care through our work in schools and communities.
Conscious sourcing and partnerships As a charity we know how important income generation is. Wherever possible we seek to procure services from other third sector organisations and those that have a commitment to social value. Sustainability We are committed to delivering our Sustainability Plan with a focus on understanding where we can most make an impact on our environment. This includes a commitment to reaching Net Zero alongside our NHS partners.
We are guided by the UN Sustainable Development goals which resonate with our own aims. We believe the third sector has a valuable role to play in delivering social value far beyond the activity that we deliver to those we care for.
