Responder stories
LIVES was proud to take part in the 999 Emergency Services Day in Skegness, a fantastic event at Tower Gardens that brought together emergency services to showcase the vital work we all do.
As a charity dedicated to providing emergency medical care across Lincolnshire, we were excited to connect with the community and demonstrate the life-saving impact our volunteers make every day.
At the event, our dedicated volunteers were on hand to demonstrate CPR, provide glitter tattoos and Defib Dan colouring in – all whilst sharing their experiences of responding to emergencies and how our responders are often the first on the scene, delivering critical care in those crucial minutes before ambulance services arrive.
The 999 Day was also an excellent opportunity for us to raise awareness about our mission and recruit new volunteers who share our passion for saving lives. Engaging with the community in this way is essential for us, as it helps ensure we can continue to grow and reach even more people in need.
It was a pleasure to see so many people interested in learning CPR and how they can help in an emergency situation. Events like this are a celebration of the dedication and hard work of all emergency services, and we were honoured to be part of it.
As we continue to expand our reach across Lincolnshire, days like the 999 Emergency Services Day in Skegness are crucial in helping us connect with the community, spread our message, and ensure that we’re ready to provide life-saving care whenever and wherever it’s needed most!
