Responder stories
This year we’re marking 25 years of our Community First Responder initiative with a brand-new campaign, 25 Years Matter. It’s a campaign that will focus on the people in our community who are keeping us safe and confident in the knowledge that should the worst happen, someone will be there; fast. LIVES has a long and illustrious history that’s led us to where we are now, but without our Volunteer Community First Responders, we’d be nothing.
Our responders have a habit of downplaying the amazing work, so this campaign is to say thank you, it’s to say well done and it’s to highlight that you are all incredible.
As part of our 25 Years Matter campaign we’re inviting you to meet one of our Community First Responders every month, and June is where we’ll meet Annie Wakeford. Annie’s been responding with us for over 8 years and is also our District Co-ordinator for The South Holland district. We caught up with Annie to ask her a a few questions about her role at LIVES and what motivates her to respond.
