Responder stories
At LIVES, we’re thrilled to share the incredible impact that Tesco Extra on Wragby Road, Lincoln, has had on our charity over the past two months. Through the dedicated efforts of their team and generous support from the community, Tesco’s charity book stall has raised an amazing £1,225 for LIVES! This impressive amount was raised in just two months, and each donation helps us keep our volunteer Community First Responders on the road!
The support from Tesco went beyond fundraising. Ann-Marie, Tesco’s Community Champion, also invited LIVES to host CPR training days at the supermarket, giving us the chance to teach valuable life-saving skills to their staff and members of the public. Incredibly 25 Tesco employees are now trained in CPR at the Wragby Road store and are now equipped to make a difference in an emergency.
“Everyone should know who LIVES are – they’re able to get there when you need them most! When I’ve had to dial 999 myself before, LIVES were able to get to me in 5 minutes!” Ann-Marie, Community Champion, Tesco.
We are immensely grateful for both Tesco’s and Ann-Marie’s commitment, and we thank every shopper who supported the book stall or took time to learn CPR. Together, we are creating a network of lifesavers, people who can deliver CPR when seconds count.
Thank you, Tesco Extra Lincoln, for your generous support and dedication to making a life-saving impact.
