This International Women’s Day 2025, we’re celebrating the incredible women who dedicate their time, skills, and compassion to keeping their communities safe. At LIVES, we are proud to have so many strong, inspiring women at the heart of what we do—providing emergency medical care when every second counts.
One of these incredible women is Jane, a dedicated Community First Responder (CFR) who steps up in her community to be there for her neighbours in their hour of need. For Jane, becoming a CFR was a deeply personal decision, inspired by her son, Callum.
“Callum was lovely, a cheeky ladies’ man. But he was very poorly, and we often needed ambulances and paramedics throughout his life. I joined LIVES to give back and harness the inspiration that Callum gave me. LIVES has given me the opportunity to honour him and help others.”
Jane’s story is a powerful reminder of why Community First Responders play such a vital role across Lincolnshire. They are everyday people—mothers, daughters, friends, and colleagues—who step up when someone in their community needs them most.
This International Women’s Day 2025, we want to say a huge thank you to Jane and all the women at LIVES who make a difference every day. From our Community First Responders who are first on scene in medical emergencies, to our Educators who teach life-saving skills, and our Clinical Team who provide expert care—your dedication, compassion, and resilience help save lives across Lincolnshire.
Your commitment ensures that when someone calls 999, help is never far away. You inspire, lead, and empower those around you, proving that strong communities are built by those who step up in times of need.
Today, we celebrate you. Thank you for everything you do to keep our communities safe.
