Purpose of the ‘Annual statement’ 

The purpose of this Annual Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Statement is to outline LIVES’ commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and control in accordance with The Health and Social Care Act 2008: Code of Practice on the Prevention and Control of Infections and Related Guidance. 

This statement provides a comprehensive overview of our infection prevention and control activities over the past year, including key achievements, areas for improvement, and future objectives. It reflects our ongoing efforts to safeguard the health and well-being of our patients, staff, volunteers, and the wider community by adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements. 

In line with regulatory expectations, this statement is made publicly available to ensure transparency and to demonstrate our dedication to continuous improvement in infection prevention and control. It is accessible to all stakeholders, including patients, staff, and regulatory bodies, and is published on the LIVES website. 

This document is reviewed annually by the designated IPC Lead and reviewed by the relevant governance group, ensuring that our policies and practices remain current, effective, and aligned with national standards and guidance.
